The regatta for this Saturday (5/17/08) has been cancelled due to damage to the course and lingering
underwater debris caused by the recent extreem rain we have had. At one point there was 7 feet of
water going over the dam. An unprecidented condition for us at the Occoquan. Debris from up river
has nearly stripped the whole course out and washed it over the dam. NCASRA is very sorry to have to
cancel this event but safety of our rowers and course maintenance personell is priority #1.
